In the tradition of Gerber's The E-Myth, Absolute Certainty is a powerful story that will transform your business and your life.
Andrew is like many business owners - too much to do and too little time. His clients are grumbling about his fees. His partners believe the firm is underperforming. And his doctor says he’s heading for a heart attack. No matter how hard Andrew works, he never feels in control.
Then Andrew meets up with graphic designer Karen who is preparing to enter the local business awards. She has transformed her business by focusing on what her clients really want and building the systems she needs to consistently deliver great results, on time, every time.
Andrew recognises the issues and opportunities they share. He then goes on a journey of discovery as he applies these powerful ideas in his accountancy firm and with his clients.

Absolute Certainty How to give your clients exactly what they want eBook John Haylock Reviews
I have recently read this book (in less than a day!) after receiving it as a gift.
The book is written in a really easy to read and more importantly easy to digest style. All too often I find that business books can be quite dull as they are very theoretical and it is then harder to extract the learning from the text but this book was different.
The book tells the story from the point of view of an accountant but please don't let this put you off if this is not the business you are in as the areas covered within this book apply to any and all businesses that provide a service to their customers.
If you want to run a more successful, less stressful service-based business, then this is the book for you.
Absolute Certainty is not a text book. It's an easy-to-read novel which you can finish in a couple of hours. It's also a book you'll want to read more than once, as it is jam packed with good ideas.
This book encourages readers to focus on what their clients really want No surprises. Predictability. Certainty. In almost every business, clients want to know what they're getting, when they're going to get it, and how much it's going to cost. Simple, right?
Then just think about your plumber or electrician. Does he turn up at the agreed time, late, or not at all? Does he give you a quote before he starts, or does the price depend on "how bad the problem is"? Does he get the job done quickly, without leaving behind a pile of offcuts and empty boxes (or worse)? Does he provide a guarantee?
And what about your typical chartered accountancy firm? Do you know when the work will be finished, or do you just drop in your records and wait... and wait... ? Do you agree up front what the bill will be? Or is that another surprise?
The most important question this book raises is what are the frustrations your clients have when dealing with your business? Absolute Certainty may inspire you to ask them!
Secondly, the book shows you how your business can deliver a "no surprises" service to your clients - whether you're a chartered accountancy firm which is currently driven by billable hours, or a graphic designer who is always panicking to meet client deadlines. The secret is in this book.
We've found that providing "Absolute Certainty" leads to happier clients, a less stressful work environment and higher profits. We've also found, thanks to this book, that it's easier to achieve than you'd expect.
John Haylock is already well respected by the accountancy profession. I hope his book and the important messages it contains are picked up by a wider audience.
Excellent. It changed my view on business.
This is a great example of business process reengineering for any business. A game changer for the accounting business. Worth exploring.
A remarkable story that builds on ideas from The E-Myth, Ron Baker's ideas on value pricing and more. I have a new vision of what my Firm should be able to do.
